Film Reviews - X-Men Origins: Wolverine

This will be the first post in a long time about a movie that we've gone and seen.  Our team didn't get the chance to go see it on thursday night like we wanted to.  We'll be going this evening to see it with some friends.  This should be interesting.  There will be a few things to consider when entering the theater tonight:  This isn't a continuation of the first three, it's the stuff that happens BEFORE Logan becomes who he is and how he gets there.  In no way were we sueded by any of the press that this movie got for the leaked version.

More to come...

Check out the trailer on IMDb.com at:

Being able to see this movie in the theater was definitely worth it! Keeping in mind that this wasn't another sequel, but rather how Wolverine got his start. The cinematography was astounding and the scenery was amazing. The characters that they decided to include this outing were great too: One of my favorite characters is Gambit, the Bayou gambler that can charge electrically any object (and his favorite would be the poker cards he carries).

This should prove to be a great revival of the franchise. There is so much you can include in these stories because there is so much source material.

Final thoughts: Go see this is you haven't already in the theaters. It is well worth it.

I really enjoy movies that are based on comic books, especially Marvel comics. That is, if they are done well. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.

I gotta go look for one of my old comic books (Hulk #181) now. It's the first comic where the character Wolverine appears. It's gotta be worth some moola. Just hope my mom didn't throw it out.

In retrospect, I would have been better off saving the money i spent on Wolverine Origins for Star Trek this weekend
